Purpose

The Foundation's purpose is to promote scientific research in pure electrochemistry and its applications to industrial production and environmental protection.

In particular, the Foundation:

  • grants scholarships and awards to those who have significantly contributed to scientific publications, inventions, or otherwise helped electrochemistry progress;
  • assists in the organization of international seminars and conferences aimed at developing research in the field;
  • builds cooperation relationships with Italian and foreign Universities.

Fellowship in Applied Electrochemistry

Fondazione Oronzio e Niccolò De Nora and Industrie De Nora S.p.A. (jointly referred to hereunder as “De Nora”) endow graduate students and postdoctoral scientists with one fellowship regarding research and development projects in the following fields of applied electrochemistry:

  • electrocatalysis for water electrolysis, CO2 reduction, and fuel cells
  • electrochemical cells: design, operando analysis, electrolytes, separators
  • electrochemical advanced oxidation processes
  • coating technologies and corrosion protection

The applicants must have obtained their degree within five years preceding the date of application and no later than the end of 2024. The fellowship amounts to € 48,000, funded by De Nora and allocated between Fondazione Oronzio e Niccolò De Nora and Industrie De Nora S.p.A. at De Nora's decision.
