Fondazione Oronzio De Nora was officially registered on May 25, 1998, by the Ministry of University and Technological Scientific Research Decree (M.U.R.S.T.) published in the Official Gazette of the Italian Republic on June 15, 1998.
After Founding Member Niccolò De Nora's passing, his sons Michele and Federico, together with all the Board Members, approved the changing of its name to Fondazione Oronzio e Niccolò De Nora on September 22, 2005.
