Alessandro Minguzzi is an associate professor of physical chemistry at the University of Milan. His research interests include electrocatalysis and photo-electrocatalysis for reactions of interest in energy storage and conversion, wastewater treatment, electroanalytical chemistry, recycling of critical elements, and the electrification of chemical processes. In these fields, he has also developed new investigation methods based on microelectrodes and X-ray absorption spectroscopies. He has spent periods as a visiting scientist in the USA, France, and Spain and has been invited to hold seminars at prestigious universities (Stanford, Gothenburg, Southampton) and numerous national and international conferences. His scientific activity has led to the publication of more than 90 articles and book chapters, 2 patents, and numerous awards: AMEL and FIAMM prizes (Division of Electrochemistry, Italian Chemical Society), Premio Levi (Italian Chemical Society), the International Society of Electrochemistry Travel Award, and the 2007 Oronzio and Niccolò DeNora Foundation Fellowship.
